Prof. Paulo Ribeiro will be the final Keynote Speaker
FRIDAY, 17TH NOVEMBER – PLENARY SESSION
Paulo Ribeiro is currently Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, Portugal. He is Deputy Director of the Research Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction (CTAC) and 1st secretary of the social board of TecMinho. He holds a MSc in Transport Infrastructures “Study of Urban Streets” (UPorto) and a PhD in Civil Engineering on “Healthy routes for active modes of transport” (UMinho). With more than 15 years of experience in transportation and sustainable mobility, he is the Coordinator of the 2nd phase and Co-coordinator of the 1st phase of the Living Laboratories for Urban Decarbonisation promoted by the Portuguese government, Coordinator of the Action Plan for Sustainable Urban Mobility of the Ave Inter-municipal Community, Coordinator of the Sustainable Mobility Plan for the Inter-municipal Communities of Tâmega e Sousa e Terras de Trás-os-Montes and was Co-coordinator in the development of plans for the Municipal Electric Mobility of the pilot-phase of the Portuguese MOBI.E program. He has authored more than 40 scientific publications and 2 patents and is currently developing research in Sustainable Mobility, Transports, Traffic Engineering and Innovation in Cities Management.
